Beckley’s U12 Girls Advance to U.S. Youth Soccer Region I Semifinals in Barboursville

Barboursville, WV (HNN) - Despite a disappointing 6-0 loss in Sunday’s intense heat, The U12 girls have from Beckley won the opportunity to play in the Monday, July 5, semi-finals of the U.S. Youth Soccer Region I championship. They lost to the Foothills from Pennsylvania, but their full tournament record qualified them for a “wild card” and a shot in the semi finals.
The team is coached by Suggie Seaman.
They are the only West Virginia team that will be playing in the semifinals which are Monday at Barboursville’s Park.
The Elite will play the New Jersey Blast at Field 13 beginning at 10:45 a.m.
They won the opportunity in May to advance to the Regional Tournament by winning their first US Youth Soccer State Cup with a 1-0 victory over the WV Rowdies.
