Huntington's Prestera Center Director New President of Behavioral Healthcare Providers Association

Charleston, WV (HNN) – Jo Ann Powell, chief executive officer of Westbrook Health Services based in Parkersburg, is the new executive committee President of the West Virginia Behavioral Healthcare Providers Association, effective July 1.
Other committee members include: President-elect Bob Hansen, executive director of Prestera Center in Huntington; Secretary Terry Stemple, chief executive officer of Healthways, Inc. in Weirton; and Treasurer Judy Akers, chief executive officer of Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center in Princeton. Mike Grady of Autism Services Center in Huntington is the past president. Bob Williams of United Summit Center and Mike Mays of FMRS Health Systems are at-large members.
In addition to the executive committee, two new members were elected to the five-member board of trustees, which administers the West Virginia Behavioral Healthcare Providers Association’s healthcare plan. The new trustees are Karen Pratt from the Coordinating Council for Independent Living in Morgantown and Dave McWatters from Highland Hospital in Charleston.
The Association advocates for behavioral healthcare service recipients and providers from across the state.
