Huntington, WV (HNN) - The 26th Street church of Christ decided to end their Vacation Bible School by giving the kids an unforgettable experiance. The classes were studying the 23rd Psalm, which has to do with the Lord leading us as sheep. In order to help get the point across, some of the teachers at the church arranged for a live sheep to be brought to the church. The kids got a chance to see what a sheep is really like and ask questions of the sheep's owners.

"This was a way to bring the 23rd Psalm to life for these kids," said Chris Roberts, the 26th Street Congregation's campus minister and VBS Director. "Many of these children had never seen a real sheep before. They can now better understand the meaning of Psalm 23."

The 26th Street church of Christ ended its week long VBS last night. It started Monday, June 14 and ran through Friday, June 18. The theme was “Jungle Journay: Exploring the Nature of God” by Promise Publishing Company. The VBS averaged about 75 participants. The church is located at 101 26th Street in Huntington.
