26th Street Church Of Christ Holding VBS In New Education Wing

Huntington, WV (HNN) - The 26th Street church of Christ has been under construction since January of this year. In May, a new education wing was completed, expanding the congregation from six classrooms to eleven classrooms. The largest new classroom is devoted to the congregation's active campus ministry, Herd4Christ.
"We simply needed more classroom space & newer facilities to be able to offer the kind of classes and education opportunities we wanted for our students," said Chris Roberts, the 26th Street Congregation's campus minister and VBS Director. "We now have space for all of the classes we want to offer and are ready when we need to expand in the future."
The 26th Street church of Christ is holding a Vacation Bible School this week. It started Monday, June 14 and runs through Friday, June 18 from 6:30pm-8pm nightly. The theme this year is “Jungle Journey: Exploring the Nature of God” by Promise Publishing Company. There are classes offered for all ages, from toddlers to young adults and adults. The church is located at 101 26th Street in Huntington.
“We’re very excited to show our new education wing to our friends and neighbors and VBS offers us a wonderful opportunity to do just that,” said Roberts. “The new wing has been transformed into a magnificent jungle to go with our theme. All we need now is to fill it with young minds ready to learn about God.”
The church is currently renovating their multi-purpose room and expect it to be completed by the end of the summer. PRAY Constuction Company is overseeing the project.
