Huntington, WV (HNN) - The 26th Street church of Christ will be holding a Vacation Bible School starting Monday, June 14 and running through Friday, June 18 from 6:30pm-8pm nightly. There will be a Picnic on Saturday, June 19 at Barboursville Park. The theme this year is “Jungle Journey: Exploring the Nature of God” by Promise Publishing Company. The church is located at 101 26th Street in Huntington.
“Life can seem a lot like a journey through a jungle, filled with excitement and mystery, yet also filled with pitfalls and snares each step of the way. During this series, we will travel on an expedition which will help us discover the nature of God, who He is, and how He helps us through life’s most vulnerable moments.” (Promise Publishing, 2010).
In addition to having classes for children from toddlers to High School age, there will be classes for both college-aged young adults and adults. This will also be the first VBS to utilize the church’s newly completed education wing.
“We’re very excited to unveil our new education wing to our friends and neighbors,” said Chris Roberts, the 26th Street Congregation’s VBS Director and campus minister. “It has allowed us to open up more classes and the facility is just great. All we need now is to fill it with young minds ready to learn about God.”
