Charleston, WV (HNN) - After an agreement by the two candidates, the Lincoln County Democratic primary ended Thursday, May 27, 2010 with no change in the winners and losers, according to the Lincoln Journal. During the recount of absentee ballots in the circuit clerk race between Thomas Ramey and Jerry Bowman, the results changed by only one vote.
Nitro Attorney Harvey Peyton agreed stating that the stipulation that the results were the same would eliminate a time consuming second recount and yet still allow him to “file a challenge” on behalf of his clients, Democrats Phoebe Harless and Charles Brumfield.
