Underground Storage Tank Found at Milton School

Milton, WV (HNN) – Classes at Milton Elementary Pre-Kindergarten have been called off for Thursday May 27 after construction workers found an underground petroleum storage tank. The workers were upgrading restrooms at the Elementary Pre-Kindergarten when they found the tank.
According to a release from Cabell County Schools, all required environmental agencies have been notified. Agencies have started inspection of the tank and will advise concerning clean up. The problem should be contained by Friday allowing teachers to report. Students do not return until Tuesday due to the Memorial Day weekend.
