Multiple State Authors to Appear at Empire Books Saturday

Huntington, WV (HNN) - A variety of state authors are scheduled to appear this weekend at Empire Books, at Pullman Square.
 
According to store manager Darren Jones, 2009 Bram Stoker Award winning editor and writer Michael Knost will join authors Keith Davis and Brian J. Hatcher at the local bookstore for a special book event, on Saturday, May 29, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
 
"It's great to have such talent here at Empire," Jones said, "and these guys, all Woodland Press authors, continue to make a positive statement for West Virginia literature."
 
The Mountain State writers will greet the public and sign special copies of their respective books. Michael and Brian will be signing copies of the Legends of the Mountain State series (volumes 1-3), Appalachian Winter Hauntings and Dark Tales of Terror, an anthology that focuses on West Virginia storytellers. Michael will also be autographing copies of Writers Workshop of Horror, an internationally-respected reference book on the craft of writing that recently won the prestigious Stoker Award. Keith Davis is the author of The Secret Life and Brutal Death of Mamie Thurman, West Virginia Tough Boys and The Feuding Hatfields & McCoys.
