Jennifer Berry was recently honored by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce with their “30 under 30” award.
Berry is an Iraq War veteran who has earned the rank of Sergeant in the United States Army and serves as a squad leader in the 14th Finance Detachment out of Whitestone, New York.
Following her deployment, she helped start a printing firm servicing the Catholic Church and handles print and design for the church as well as other clients. She also manages fundraising campaigns for the church and other nonprofits.
“Being deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom has made me the most proud of all my accomplishments. It gave me the opportunity to serve my country in a time of need,” said Berry. “During this time, I saw how our service men and women constantly strive to protect our freedoms. I am so proud to have been able to be a part of this fine group of people. Seeing how people live and are treated in other countries makes you realize how blessed we all are to live in this great nation.”
Berry obtained her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Hofstra University and lives with her husband, Steve and dog, Jack.
She will be honored in June by the Knights of Columbus for her service to our nation with the Knights’ Patriotism Award.
