UPDATED: One Injured in Huntington Shooting on Grace Street

Huntington, WV (HNN) – Dispatchers reported a shooting victim in the 200 block of Grace Street shortly before 12:40 a.m. Monday, May 3. Jason Thompson received multiple gun shot wounds to his lower body.
Police have charged Ryan Mayo with being a felon in possession of a firearm. More charges could follow.
Reports of the shooting conflict, as Mayo claims Thompson entered his Grace Street home. Mayo claimed self defense. Thompson claims to be an innocent bystander.
The initial report to 911 indicated up to eight shots may have been fired and a victim was crawling for help.
