Teen Dies From Gunshot Wound at Huntington Motel

Huntington, WV (HNN) – A 13-year-old boy has died from a head wound following what WV State Police have termed an accidental shooting, Friday night, April 30. The initial dispatch indicated the shooting occurred at the Red Roof Inn on Route 60 shortly after 11 p.m.
Early reports termed the boys wound life threatening and a later report stated that he was on life support at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
According to reports, the victim’s 14-year-old brother was taking apart a gun brought from Missouri when it fired.
Investigators are calling the death accidental.
