Pennington and Guest Fill in for Miller Friday April 23
By Huntingtonnews.net Staff
Huntington, WV (HNN) -- Magic 97.9 and J.B. Miller’s Friday Guest D.J. slot have allowed many business and civic leaders to take a turn in front of the microphone. However, the ‘guests’ have not taken over the show until Friday April 23.
J.B. requested an hour off, so Miami Dolphins quarterback and Marshall former QB Chad Pennington will substitute for Miller beginning at 7:30 a.m. Friday. In fact, Chad will bring a mystery guest host with him.
Since this is the day before the Spring Football clash and about twelve hours before the “Sons of Marshall” Hall of Fame Induction ceremony Friday night, could Chad’s guest be Randy Moss, Byron Leftwich or John Wade?
According to the Magic 97.9 release, Chad said, if this gig is successful, “it could be the start of a whole new career in the future.” It could be noted too that the veteran NFL QB majored in broadcasting during his high passing days at MU.
