Pullman Shuttle Adopts Business Friendly Fourth Avenue Route

Huntington, WV (HNN) – Several businesses and riders had previously inquired why the Pullman Shuttle did not run past businesses on Fourth Avenue. Beginning Monday, March 8, the free shuttle’s route has been adjusted to include a route that passes Fourth Avenue business from Tenth Street to 16th Street.

Previously, the Shuttle, which runs about every 20 minutes, ran on Sixth Avenue until 13th Street (St. Joe/River Park) and then turned up Fourth Avenue at Chili Willis.

The new route allows passengers to board the shuttle at Fourth and Tenth Street (ideal for those leaving the Keith Albee Performing Arts Center or Cinema Theatre, for instance), then travels east on Fourth past Glenn’s Sporting Goods, Precision Gold, and other niche shops, such as the comic book stores.

Instead of catching the shuttle at Sixth Avenue and Tenth Street (due to the left turn), the proper location is the middle of the block i.e. midway between Sixth and Fifth Avenue in front of the original Java Joint property and across from the former Ratcliff Place, which is now fenced.
