Award Winning Singer/Songwriter Steve Free Performs at Pullman Square

Huntington, WV (HNN) -- Award winning singer and songwriter Steve Free performed the Heiner's Bakery Summer Concert Series at Pullman Square on Thursday evening, June 26, 2008.

The earlier rains cleared and the concert started at 7 PM before a good crowd to hear the music of Steve Free while enjoying getting together with friends and family at Pullman.
 
Free has won an ASCAP award eight times for song writing. Fourteen of his songs have been recognized nationally and internationally.
 
At the break, the Pullman Square audience got a second treat of singing from Huntington Outdoor Theatre performers giving excerpts from the upcoming production of "Romeo and Juliet."
 
Musical Director Mark Smith is putting a rock and roll spin on the production to make it up beat. "Romeo and Juliet" will start with the pre-show at 7 p.m. on July 11 and run on July 12, 13, 18, 18 and 20th. For more information call 304-523-8080 or log onto www.hotwv.org.
 
Next week the Heiner's Bakery Concert Series will move from the usual Thursday to Friday for a special July 4th. celebration with entertainment and fireworks starting at 5:30 p.m.
