Apple Grove, WV (HNN) -- H & H Ranch & Rodeo will begin its 9th season on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Brian Haga Arena in Apple Grove, WV.

Started in 1999, H&H has grown to be the state's best, and now only, full-season, multi-event competition rodeo. Running the 4th Saturday of the months of April through September (April 28, May 26, June 23, July 28, August 25, September 22), championship buckles will be awarded to the highest point-holder in Bareback, Cowgirl Breakaway, Team Roping, Steer Riding, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, and Bull Riding at the end of the season.

Besides the “ultimate hardware” in rodeo – the buckle – competitors will compete for nightly cash payouts. H& H offers 80% payback (excluding stock fee) in each event.

West Virginia State University Media Studies graduate student, Lisa Bragg, will be producing a feature documentary film on the tradition of the family rodeo in West Virginia, with H&H as the subject.
