Ashland, KY (HNN) -- Great Escape Theatres – which opened the Nitro 12 in
Cross Lanes, WV last year – will open a 12 screen cinema with high back
seats and Dolby Digital sound at the KYOVA Mall (formerly Cedar Knoll
Galleria) here.
Architectural plans have been completed. The Indiana-based company hopes
to have the theatre ready for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.
Pullman Square 16 opened in November 2004 and was the first stadium-styled
cinema in the region.
Since Pullman’s opening, stadium cinemas have opened in Hurricane (Teays
Valley Cinemas), Logan (Fountain Place Cinemas) and Portsmouth, Ohio’s
Republic Cinemas.
