Dean, Bailey & White

	It is no secret of the past alliance between our former Mayor Jean Dean and County Commissioner Bob Bailey.  Between the two of them we now have a Jean Dean Public Safety Building, along with an outlandish debt due  because of their persistence regardless of the cost to our city and us.   My garbage bill raised 50% and I am angry, my neighbors and friends are angry.  The building is nice and thanks to Bailey named rightfully.     My gripe now is that our City Finance Director is going to be in a similar position in the county come Feb. 15th thanks to Bailey.  Our city is in financial arrears and the cities finance director in my opinion has to be partly responsible, now Bailey is placing him in the same capacity in county business.  I can understand Bailey creating an assistant county manager position for Juanita Ferguson since she was, as the newspaper stated, a substantial campaign contributor, not to mention a loan from her to Bailey that constituted one half of his campaign.  He was always a scratch my back and I will scratch yours kind of guy.   Our county is financially secure and Bailey has opted to infiltrate part of our city problem, not to mention creating unnecessary positions.  Our county is in the black thanks to conservative and good management from commissioners like J. R. Blankenship.   Our city monies have been squandered needlessly due to poor management and now our county is being jeopardized.  Bailey, leave well enough alone, we have had enough of your kind and black is a much better color than red.  Reba Smith Huntington, WV
