LETTER TO THE EDITOR
West Virginians are now under the "political microscope." How we vote on November 2nd will make a crucial difference in the control of the US Senate and the immediate future-survival of our country.
Vote "the man," this time not "the party." Both entrepreneur John Raese and WV Governor Joe Manchin are formidable men of strong, assertive character. Both are good-looking, well-spoken, and experienced in their fields of endeavor. The real difference is in their basic philosophies of government.
One promotes strong, centralized "big-government." The other urges a return to smaller government, lower taxes, and large spending cuts One seeks government-mandated, "one-size-fits-all" solutions to social problems. The other thinks people can solve their own individual problems without "help" from the nanny-state.
Joe Manchin, as a Democrat, is bound by party loyalties to follow-the-lead of a failing Democrat president. Senate Majority Leader Reid and Majority Whip Durbin have a large arsenal of political "weapons." With these tools they dangle the "carrots of incentive" or "twist arms" by withholding prestigious committee-assignments, favors, and support of desired bills. Such pressures make it very easy to "go along to get along."
John Raese is bound by his personal convictions and principles to oppose the "Fundamental Transformation of America" that Obama has promised. John Raese is committed to work against Obama's agenda that will quickly bring our country down to "third-world" status.
Joe Manchin, in his own words, supports Obama's long list:
Amnesty-for-Illegals, Attacking Arizona's Anti-Illegal Law, Cap-and-Trade, Ground-Zero Mosque, Bailout of AIG, Takeover of GM, Barney Frank and his Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac fiascoes, Obama-Care, Gulf-drilling moratorium, $2 Billion gift to Brazil for deep-water drilling, Attacking Tea Party Movement, Redistribution of your wealth, and Blaming George W. Bush for "everything."
Do your part to defeat Team Manchin-Reid-Pelosi-Obama. Break the mold. Put John Raese in West Virginia's US Senate seat on November 2nd.
