in a state of panic because water was coming in her family room.
I disagree with Proctor's comment that "the good folks of that area are putting their own immediate concerns ahead of the entire region". Simply put: balderdash!
Let me ask you something. How would you feel if that had happened to you?
I was totally cut off from the area and couldn't get to her until the waters
receded, to even offer her any assistance.
And she wasn't the only one in distress...such as her handicapped and elderly neighbor. What else do those people have but their own homes and lives to worry about? Those good folks are not the one's that have tried impede the progress of the city...just look at the mall up the road and it's not too hard to figure out.
I don't call telephone businesses that have cropped up over the past few years
forming a basis for keeping this area growing. We need technical,
professional and industrial business. Maybe the park will help alleviate
flooding, but who knows? Based on the lies and deceit that some of our
community leaders exhibit, who can blame them for distrust.
