RUTHERFORD ON THEATRE: Charleston Theatre Fest Morphs into Festiv–All

Charleston (HNN) – While the curtain has gone down on the Charleston Theatre Festival, David Wohl, dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at West Virginia State University, has announced that a one act play fest will be part of the Festiv–ALL celebration Friday–Sunday, June 24–26, 2005. The plays will be at the Clay Center's Walker Theatre. The website is: http://festivallcharleston.com. Saturday's schedule begins with "The Lion in Winter," performed by Fairmont's Act II Theatre Company at 7 p.m.; followed by "Haiku" performed by Kanawha Players at 8 p.m. and "Talking With" performed by Fairmont's Backyard Theatre Company at 9 p.m.
 
On Sunday June 26, "Alice in Wonderland" performed by the Charleston Stage Company goes up at 2 p.m.; "Constantinople Smith" by the Treehouse Arts Ensemble of Beckley runs at 3 p.m. and "The Boor" from Free Spirit Productions of Huntington shows at 4 p.m.
 
The Festiv–ALL includes the full length "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," performed by the Charleston Light Opera Guild in their venue at the corner of Tennessee and Roane on Charleston's West Side. This show runs at 8 p.m. June 24, July 1, 2, 9 and at 2 p.m. June 25. Visit, http://charlestonlightoperaguild.org for details.
 
"I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" in its 9th year off–Broadway, has been described as Seinfeld set to music. Whisking you through a jungle of everything you secretly thought but were afraid to ask about dating, relationships, romance, marriage, husbands, wives, and in–laws, the off–Broadway show has on 42 occasions motivated men to take the stage with a surprise proposal to his date. All have accepted.
