EDITORIAL: The Heather Manchin Bresch Affair: The Gift that Keeps on Giving to WVU
This just in from the Associated Press: Heather Manchin Bresch,
daughter of Governor Joe Manchin, has decided to go for yet another
round with WVU regarding her faux MBA that she was awarded,
then had rescinded, from the WVU College of Business.
According to the AP report, Bresch is now studying her options. One thing's for sure: that's more studying than she did as an MBA student.
According to the AP story, Bresch's annoyance rests on the fact that over 20 other MBA students with alleged problems in the same night-course program have not had their MBA degree revoked by the university. It's a weird appeal to fairness, coming from a woman who has been given huge amounts of grace by her employer, Milam Pharmaceuticals, which has chosen to overlook her phony graduate degree.
Considering the incredible amount of criticism both Ms. Bresch and the Manchin family endured through the investigation last year, some may find it incredible that Ms. Bresch would come back for more.
Former WVU President Mike Garrison, a longtime Manchin family friend, lost his job over Heather Manchin Bresch's faux MBA. Now it appears the Manchins won't be happy until they bring down the reputation of WVU's entire College of Business.
Good thing that re-election campaign was last year.
