DEVOTION: Speeding Past A Blessing...

With every blink of the eye... blessings can speed past so quickly... we may not even be aware.
Recently, many of the most precious people to me were squeezed together in a fast moving car when suddenly... a ladder flew out of an open truck hitting the vehicle just in front of us... shattering into many sharp... flying pieces of aluminum debris.
The driver of the truck had no clue that this incident had occurred.
The driver in front of us swerved as much as possible from the ongoing hazard but took a hit and had to pull off the Interstate to assess the consequences.
Our competent driver swerved to miss the broken ladder and other close vehicles in the area...
All participated in a swift... bittersweet blessing.
"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love God's grace and peace."
O God... thank you for surrounding me today with much grace and peace. Forgive me when I am not aware of your presence ... your blessing.... your goodness.... your love. Keep me calm when the sharp edges of life fly around my world and threaten my safety and security. Cultivate in me the patience and forgiveness I need when bombarded with the challenges and consequences of being human and living in a world that has yet to be perfected. Allow my heart... mind... body and spirit to be filled up with the knowledge of your love and the power of restoration you provide even in the midst of intimidating danger. Open my eyes.. my ears.. my mind to see and hear that YOU ARE WITH ME ALWAYS AS I AM SPEEDING PAST YOUR BLESSINGS.
