DEVOTION: The Early Light of Dawn...

The first morning chirps from God's heralding birds alert us to the fact that morning has broken... the early light of dawn allows us to see the horizon of a new day.
Sometimes a new day can be fraught with mystery and relentless questions of the why of life... the meaning and purpose for now... the wonder of what will surely come.
The rising sun brings the hope of warmth and light... the strength for nourishment and illuminating promise for goodness and mercy.
We wake with the power of God's presence even in the midst of our doubt and fear.
There is no one under the sun that isn't surrounded by God's love and peace.
We look around and see amazing stability and fortifying stamina in God's natural creation... in the people around us facing such difficult situations and circumstances... in our own family... our own hearts and minds... new life is truly miraculous.
Can you believe how some folks recover from what we would consider to be "impossible."
"When you pray and ask for something... believe you have received it."
The early light of dawn has come and God is with us.
