DEVOTION: Seeds

By Beth Bondurant

Creations natural reproduction is phenomenal. How a small ... nourished embryonic plant covered by a protective coat can house the ability to begin anew plants and trees.. grass and flowers... too numerous to name almost seems miraculous.

Our Creator also Sustains through amazing systems of reproduction and renewal.

We watch what is alive... go into a state of dormancy... through the processes of reproduction... into germination ... and then to such a diversity of growth and possibility.

Life is so much like that for us. Part of our "living" seems so vibrant and fulfilling... then due to a myriad of circumstances ... we have the same effects of dormancy... times of tragedy... or pain or innate conditions where we wait for new strength... healing... purpose... calling by the Master Creator... sustaining and empowering us for resurrection... changing of life on earth and life in heaven.

Seeds of transition grow within us.... in our actual body, mind, heart and spirit.

Springtime is such a reminder that we all don't blossom and bloom at the same time. Each new day of spring portrays a revision in the floral canvas of beauty growing right outside our windows and doors.

It takes some of us more time... less time.... more resources.... less resources... some patience... most patience... each unique in our response to so many natural processes innate in all.

Watch this day unfold.. for some it may seem to appear in slow motion... for others it will seem someone has changed to fast speed... or it could be even humdrum without enthusiastic freshness.

Seeds of possibility grow all around us..."You will notice that the variety of bodies is stunning. Just as there are different kinds of seeds, there are different kinds of bodies--humans, animals, birds, fish... each unprecedented in it forms. You get a hint at the diversity of resurrection glory by looking at the diversity of bodies not only on earth but in the skies... all these varieties of beauty and brightness."

Grow where you are dispersed ... becoming ... developing... blooming by the power of God's renewing Spirit within each and every one of us.
