HNN Home Calamity Cafe

Calamity Cafe has been the home away from home for many a Marshall student for years now and for good reason.

Located at 1555 3rd Ave., it sits directly across from the university.  So with little less than a hop, skip or jump, you can instantly be treated to a warm, friendly atmosphere, great food and great service.

The Calamity Skull

Opened in 1992, this restaurant/bar has also become a local favorite because of its mellow atmosphere and colorful characters.  Favorites include Open Mic Night, which has become a staple of Huntington nightlife, and the Celtic sounds of Shenanigans every Thursday.  Come down to the bar on one of these nights for an import, mixed drink or a draft beer, and soak up the sounds.

Owned by Roy Clark and Terre Thomas, Calamity also features a great menu with my personal picks the Fajita Sub, Vegetarian menu and my favorite, The Roadhouse Chili. Stop in for a bite and see why their motto is "Feed your soul".

Great people, food and drink make Calamity a must for anyone looking for a good time.

Hours are Sun.-Thurs., 11:00 to 11:00, Fri. and Sat. ‘til 2:00 a.m.
