You've no doubt heard of people being blessed in church. And some people bring their animals to church to be blessed. But have you heard of student's backpacks being blessed?
It happened right here in Huntington.
Sunday morning, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, students brought their backpacks in for a special blessing.
Like many congregations, the folks at St. Paul are hoping that their kids do well in school. Only this congregation actually prayed about the situation.
It is the second year in a row that St. Paul has blessed the backpacks.
The congregation is also gathering school supplies for special-needs students in Huntington.
