MOVING DAY FROM HELL
HNN Staff

Moving day is always tough. All that packing, lifting and arguing about what goes and what gets tossed.

But one Huntington family experienced the moving day from hell when the driver of their U-Haul took it over the side of Roby Road.

The van knocked out some utility poles and some trees before settling in a creek, just before 5 p.m.

Police arrested Shay Adam Cassidy, 32, of 126 Township Road 1198, Chesapeake, Ohio, for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) driving under the influence, and driving on a suspended revoked license.

According to Cpl. D.M. Underwood, Cassidy attempted to flee the area but was caught by police.
He was taken to Cabell County Jail where he was held on a $9,000 bond Monday night.

About 1,000 American Electric customers lost power as a result of the wreck.

Most of the customers had their electrical power restored by 7 p.m.
