Ferguson, 24, is wanted for the stabbing of Pansy "Pat" Thompson, 78, of Huntington.
According to Sgt. Rocky Johnson of the Huntington Police Department, Ferguson, who goes by his middle name, Aron, stabbed Thompson Thursday night at her Washington Avenue home.
Thompson is in serious condition at an undisclosed secure location with stab wounds around her neck and face.
Ferguson used to work for Thompson, doing odd jobs around her home.
He is described as a caucasian, with brown eyes and hair, 6 feet tall, weighing in at about 250 pounds. Ferguson was last seen in Huntington but was heading in the direction of Kenova, according to Johnson said.
He is considered dangerous, so if you see him, do not attempt to apprehend him. Instead, please call the Huntington Police Department at: 304 696-4470.
When captured, Johnson said, Ferguson will be charged with attempted murder.
