Huntington, W.Va.—A man in our region suspected of several rapes has been arrested.

              A man accused of raping a 21-year-old Grayson, Ky., woman on March 18 was arrested yesterday, April 12. Charles Woods, 39, of 1405 Summers Ave., Milton, was placed in handcuffs at his home at about 4p.m. 

 And sheriff’s deputies in Cabell and Kanawha County say he may be responsible for ten other recent rapes in our region.  However, he has been charged with only one count of sexual assault.

 Investigators say Woods used a standard pick-up line to lure women into his vehicle before a violent sexual assault.  The Grayson woman was taken to Beech Fork State Park where she was forced to have sex with him.

 Charleston Police said they have at least eight counts of possible sexual assault that Woods could be charged with.

 Woods was arraigned Wednesday night before Cabell County Magistrate Johnny Jay Rice.   He was taken to the Cabell County Jail where he was being held on a $50,000 bond.
