6th Ave. Lot To Be Paved

Jack Thornburg, on behalf of Public Works Director George McClellend, called HNN yesterday regarding the Sixth Avenue parking lot. Mr. Thornburg stated that McClelland was on top of things and plans to have the troubled lot paved within the week. He also stated, in opposition to Council member Tom McCallister's comments earlier this week, that the only remaining problem was that the sewer lines were yet to be capped. A call to McCallister on Wednesday confirmed that the sewer lines had already been capped by the Sanitation Department.
