Huntington Police are still looking for the woman who escapes from their custody
Thursday morning.
Her name has not been released to the media.
She broke free from the rear seat of a police cruiser while officers were conducting
a search of her car after a traffic stop for speeding at about 4:30 a.m. in the
1600 block of Daulton Avenue. The two officers said that she rolled down the window
of the squad car, opened the door, and ran away.
Neither officer noticed which way she fled.
A background check discovered that she had a capias on file for possession of
crack cocaine in Lawrence County, Ohio, and was driving with a suspended license.
She is still on the loose. Her description has not been released, but if you see
a woman running wearing handcuffs, please call Huntington Police.
