Huntington Civic Arena Celebrates 25 Years Of Wheels

West Virginia’s largest indoor car show reaches a silver milestone this weekend as the 25th Annual World of Wheels rolls into the Huntington Civic Arena.

The weekend will be consumed by machines of all kinds featuring both two and four wheels as over 170 hot rods, custom street machines, trucks, race cars and motorcycles fill the Civic Arena. One of the spotlighted vehicles will be a showcar of the #2 NASCAR Miller Lite Ford Taurus driven on the Winston Cup Series by Rusty Wallace which will be on display throughout the weekend.

Another added attraction will be the appearance of Dennis Gage of “My Classic Car.” The Speed Channel program is hosted Mr. Gage who is a renowned authority on a wide assortment of vehicles from a mechanical and engineering standpoint.

On Saturday, the “John Boy & Billy Rock and Roll Racing Trailer” appears at the Civic Arena from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. The Charlotte-based radio personalities will have a wide assortment of merchandise available as well as their well-known barbeque sauces for their Tri-State area fans. Additionally, there will be an auto and truck parts swap meet and a model car contests as well.

The show opens at 12 noon on Friday and runs until 11:00 pm. The hours are the same for Saturday while Sunday’s event takes place from 12 noon until 7:00 pm. Admission is just $6 for adults while children 12 and under are half-price.
