If you're looking for something "corny" to do over the Labor Day Weekend, we have the answer: The mind-bending amazing maize maze made its return to Milton Saturday.
The sophomore season's Maize design includes a silo, a tractor, and a barn.
"That is so cool," said Asley Dunn, of Milton. "We did it last year. My boyfriend got lost. Typical man, wouldn't ask for directions."
"I took my kids last year," said Morton Klaus, of Ona. "They had a great time. For the kids it's fun. From my perspective, The Maize is an ingenious mix of Maize, Americana, and capitalism."
Those attempting to figure out this year's Maize Maze will navigate their way through the seven acres of corn in about an hour. Along the way, they will encounter more than 500 twists and turns.
If you want to spend part of your day getting lost and laughing about it, you will find The Maize Maze near W. Va. 60 west, by the Milton Middle School.
You'll be able to navigate The Maize Maze through Halloween. The last three weekends organizers will transform The Maize Maze into Haunted Husks, in an attempt to scare the kernels out of visitors.
For information on how you can tour The Maize Maze, Kim Cooper can be reached at (304) 743-0548. Amazingly, the Maize Maze even has a web site, www.cornfieldmaze.com.
