In the Cabell County Commission’s regular meeting Tuesday, the commission adopted a resolution which authorizes and empowers the County Maintenance Supervisor, Pete Meadows, to contract and employ persons to conclude the construction of the Family Law Masters offices, as well as finish work on the security provisions as stated in the order by Chief Judge Alfred Ferguson.
A copy of the resolution, provided to HNN by the County Commission office, states that Meadows is “fully empowered and directed to let such contracts and employ such persons, as he deems requisite, to at the earliest possible time complete the Project,” …. “performing such work on a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week basis.”
Also included in the resolution was a section that states that “…the reconnection of the security system to such space by such contracts as requisite and to be performed on a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week basis, is hereby authorized and directed and personnel from a private guard service or otherwise as available and appropriate forthwith shall be employed to man the monitoring of the security system and respond thereto on a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week basis.”
In the third section of the resolution, “…the commission further authorized its personnel and employees to perform such acts and do such things, as Judge Ferguson shall direct to fully satisfy the Order.”
The resolution was adopted unanimously.
