Marshall University will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new Big Green Room in Cam Henderson Center at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. You or your media representative are invited to attend the event.
The 6,500 square-foot room, which opened on Jan. 19, is located on the floor level under the seats on the north side of the building. Construction of the room by Marshall physical plant employees began two years ago.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony precedes the men's Mid-American Conference basketball game between Ohio University and Marshall, which begins at 4 p.m. and will be televised live on ESPN.
The Big Green Room is 140 feet long and can accommodate about 250 people. It will be used for a variety of university functions.
