A fire ripped through the third floor of 1015 11th Avenue at approximately 5:00 p.m. yesterday. The home belonged to David Becker of Huntington.
According to Deputy Chief Copley of the Huntington Fire Department, the fire was caused by a portable heater that was too close to bedding material on the third floor of the house.
The fire was contained to the third floor by the HFD, which responded with 13 firemen and one Chief Officer from Centennial and University Fire Stations.
Deputy Chief Copley said no one was injured in the fire. |
