Expanding SNE Agrees to New Lease with HMDA
By Art Harvath, HNN Correspondent

The Huntington Municipal Development Authority held a special call meeting Wednesday and approved a resolution amendment that will eventually sell the building and property currently occupied by SNE Enterprises to SNE.

SNE is located in the Huntington Industrial Center, formally the Owens-Illinois plant. SNE was the first tenant to locate at the Industrial Center, and currently employs 226 people. Under the new lease amendment SNE must create an additional 50 jobs.

The company now occupies 300,000 square feet and will expand to 400,000 under the new agreement.

“At the end of a 78 month period SNE will exercise an option to purchase the facility for $550,000,” said Huntington Area Development Council director Gerry McDonald. “Over the term of that 78 month period they will pay $3,246,000.”

“We are excited about our relationship with Huntington and are very proud of our Crestline Brand of windows,” said SNE Human Relations Director Debra Selbe.

Selby also said that the total new jobs may number up to 100. SNE will hold a job fair June 29 at the Cabell County Library.
