Marshall Announces Yeager Scholars Class of 2006

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Thirteen students from six states, including five from West Virginia, make up the Marshall University Society of Yeager Scholars Class of 2006.

The students will arrive on campus in August for the start of the fall semester. The program is named for U.S. Air Force Brigadier General (Ret.) Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager, who is a native of West Virginia.

The Yeager program is the only scholarship at Marshall for which students must compete against one another. Students must meet criteria set for the scholars and then, if they are picked, must participate in an interviewing process.
