MU Community College's business programs reaccredited
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University Community and Technical College's
Division of Business Technologies has received reaffirmation of accreditation,
Provost Vicki Riley said today.
The accreditation was approved by the Association of Collegiate Business
Schools and Programs' (ACBSP) Associate Degree Commission Board of Commissioners.
The reaffirmation status is for 10 years.
"We're very pleased with the Board of Commission's decision,"
Riley said."To re-approve accreditation for 10 years is a testament
to the high quality of all of the programs in our Division of Business
Technologies."
The accreditation is for the following programs: Administrative Assistant
Technology with Options in Executive, Legal and Medical, and Management
Technology with Options in Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial
Management and Real Estate Management.
The ACBSP is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
(CHEA) as a high quality specialized accrediting agency. CHEA is the organization
that represents the nation's colleges and universities on all issues,
policies and debates regarding accreditation.
