Residents Of Razed House Try To Rise From The Ashes

Scott Sprouse, HNN Staff

At about 9:30 p.m. Thursday night, a fire destroyed the Cullum's residence at 402 Greenoak Dr. in Huntington.

Kevin and Rachel Cullum, and their children, Casey, 3, and Makayla, 10 months, were not harmed in the blaze, however their home is not salvagable.

HNN would like to express our sympathy to the Cullum Family in this tragedy.  If anyone would like to help the Cullums get back on their feet, they need all essential items.

The family needs clothes, especially their children.  Casey wears toddler size 3 pants and toddler size 4 shirts.  Makayla wears size 18 months.

Anything and everything is needed, especially clothing, furniture and toys for the children (Casey is very fond of Batman).

The Cullum's are also looking for a 3-room house or apartment to rent while their house is bulldozed and rebuilt.  Any kind of donations would be greatly appreciated as everything they owned was destroyed in the fire.

Anyone wishing to help with donations can contact Kevin's mother, Sheila, at (304) 523-5616 to make delivery or pick-up arrangements.

Again, HNN would like to express our sympathy to the Cullum Family.
